 dalam Pelajaran Tarik Garis Paling Berharga Dalam Hidup Saya

Ketika awal karir saya di tahun 2009, saya ingat sekali salah seorang yang paling saya hormati didalam hidup saya mengajarkan saya teknik tarik garis ini.

Dia menyuruh saya mengambil secarik kertas kosong, lalu saya disuruh menarik sebuah garis lurus yang membagi kertas itu menjadi 2 bagian.

Saya diminta melakukan perenungan untuk bisa mengingat kejadian apa saja yang bisa saya ingat. Lalu saya diminta untuk menuliskan di kertas tersebut secara berurutan dalam garis yang saya sudah gambar sebelumnya.

NB: Aslinya banyak sekali peristiwa yang saya tuliskan dalam tarik garis ini, terutama dari sisi kehidupan pribadi yang saya rasa tidak etis untuk publish di publik seperti ini.

Chapter 1 – Menjadi Atlet Basket Payah

  • Dari SD saya fans fanatik sepak bola khususnya AC Milan. Saya seorang Milanisti fanatik sampai darah saya berwarna merah dan rambut saya berwarna hitam sesuai warna seragam kebanggan klub tersebut.
  • Karena saya tahu keterbatasan fisik dan skill saya yang jauh dari pas-pasan (jauh disini artinya negatif ya). maka saya tidak mungkin bisa menjadi pemain sepak bola profesional.
  • Akhirnya saya mempelopori untuk membentuk klub sepak bola diantara teman – teman sekolah ketika masih di 2 SMP.
  • Awalnya saya cuma berharap hanya mendapatkan pemain sisa yang penting bisa bermain have fun tanpa perlu memikirkan menang kalah.
  • Tapi pada akhirnya tiba-tiba para superstar di sekolah saya bergabung dengan tim bola ini.
  • Yang menyedihkannya adalah karena berkumpul banyak pemain jago di tim bola ini. Membuat saya jarang sekali dimainkan oleh tim yang saya bentuk sendiri.
  • Salah satu harapan remaja pria adalah meraih kisah heroik. Bidang olahraga adalah salah satu jalan mendapatkan kisah heroik bagi para pelajar. Waktu itu ada seorang teman yang mengajak saya untuk seleksi team basket di sekolah ketika saya 3 SMP. Dan untuk diketahui ketika itu saya tidak bisa bermain basket sama sekali.
  • Ajaibnya saya lolos seleksi dan semua orang bingung termasuk saya sendiri kenapa bisa lolos seleksi. Satu-satunya alasan paling masuk akal adalah karena tinggi badan saya 175cm. Cukup tinggi untuk anak kelas 3 SMP.
  • Alkisah selama 2 tahun awal di team basket jumlah menit bermain saya yaitu 2 menit. Yang saya dapatkan ketika pertandingan debut pelatih tertukar antara saya dengan pemain intinya.
  • Menjadi anak basket membuat saya selalu menghabiskan waktu saya di lapangan basket setiap harinya dan menjadi lupa belajar, Nilai saya hancur dan saya harus masuk IPS. Melupakan mimpi saya masuk ke jurusan IT.

Chapter 2 – Menjadi Pemain Basket Inti

  • Akhirnya saat 3 SMA saya menjadi pemain inti di sekolah saya dan bisa tembus masuk sebagai team kotamadya (yang kembali lagi menjadi cadangan tanpa pernah dimainkan. Tapi tetap membanggakan untuk saya karena itu artinya 20 pemain terpilih dari 1 kota).
  • Di salah satu pertandingan ketika kelas 3 SMA kami mengalami satu pertandingan sengit dengan sekolah lain. Kami sedang unggul tipis, tapi celakanya “MICHAEL JORDAN” kami kena foul out
  • Ketika itu terjadi baik dari staff pelatih ataupun semua anggota minta tolong ke saya, Tiba-tiba mendadak tanggung jawab saya sebagai orang nomor dua berubah mendadak menjadi nomor 1.
  • Saya belum siap menanggung beban itu. Alkisah permainan saya malah menjadi kacau dan akhirnya kami kalah. Padahal tinggal 1 langkah lagi kamu bisa tembus ke Hexos Cup. Sebuah ajang bergengsi ketika itu.

Chapter 3 – Kuliah Di Jurusan Yang Tidak Diinginkan. Fase Krusial Dari Kisah Tarik Garis Saya

  • Karena kemalasan saya akhirnya saya tidak bisa masuk kuliah di jurusan IT. Saya masuk ke satu-satunya jurusan komputer yang bisa saya masuki, yaitu computerized accounting. NB: Nilai saya dibawah rata-rata kelas. Ini membuat saya tidak bisa lolos prasyarat untuk masuk ke jurusan sistem informasi di universitas saya.
  • Dulu ketika kelas 3 SMA saya dibenci oleh guru akuntansi saya, sehingga saya terlalu sering dipermalukan oleh beliau. Maka saya memaksa diri saya untuk bisa Akuntansi. Karena saya tidak mau dipermalukan setiap minggu selama 1 tahun sebagai akhir kisah SMA saya.
  • Hal tersebut membuat saya cukup mahir dalam akuntansi. Membuat pelajaran dasar akuntansi di tingkat universitas terlihat sangat mudah bagi saya.
  • Ketika dosen meminta saya menuliskan soal tugas di papan tulis maka jawaban saya benar semua. Dan karena terbiasa menggunakan istilah dalam bahasa inggris (wajib di SMA saya). Sehingga mulai muncul gosip aneh di kelas saya. Muncul gosip bahwa saya anak pintar.
  • Dari SMA kelas 1 sampai kelas 3 saya selalu memiliki 4 nilai merah di raport. Matematika, Fisika, Biologi dan Bahasa Inggris selalu memiliki warna yang berbeda dengan mata pelajaran lain. Jadi gosip bahwa saya anak pintar adalah hoax terbesar yang pernah saya lihat dalam hidup saya.
  • Karena gosip itu menyebar, mulai muncul 4 anak palembang minta belajar bareng ketika mau ujian. Terus bertambah hingga akhirnya sehari saya menangani 25 orang setiap kali mau menghadapi ujian.
  • 25 orang tentu tidak cukup untuk kamar kos saya yang tidak luas. Sehingga saya harus pecah menjadi 5 shift setiap kali mau menghadapi ujian.
  • Bayangkan setiap kali ujian, saya haru ulang mengajar 5 kali. Mana mungkin saya tidak mendapatkan nilai yang bagus ketika kuliah.

Chapter 4 – Kisah Heroik Sebagai Atlet

  • Di universitas saya aktif mengikuti kompetisi basket di pekan olahraga universitas.
  • Dan karena saya yang seksi sibuk membentuk team ini maka terpilihlah saya menjadi kapten.
  • Di pertandingan pertama kami, team kami ketinggalan 2 point. Waktu sudah habis dan musuh mendapatkan technical foul karena menahan bola dengan kaki. Kami bersorak, karena kami memiliki penembak handal yang akurasi free throw bagus.
  • Sungguh sial didalam aturan yang harus mengeksekusi free throw tersebut harus kapten. Saya mendadak menanggung beban berat lagi. Mirip dengan kisah SMA saya.
  • Lemparan pertama masuk dengan mulus. Tinggal satu lemparan terakhir untuk masuk ke perpanjangan waktu.
  • Ketika melakukan lemparan kedua saya merasa follow through jari saya melakukan kesalahan. (Jika pemain basket pasti mengerti apa maksud saya). Ketika momen itu first time saya merasakan sekeliling saya menjadi seperti slow motion seperti di film (sensasi ini benar terjadi)
  • Saya bisa melihat bola melenceng sedikit dari lintasan jalur bola yang saya inginkan. Megenai pinggir ring, bola lalu memantul keatas. Bola memutari ring tersebut dan MASUKKK.
  • saya langsung melompat dan berteriak layaknya JOJO yang memenangi medali emas. Itu adalah salah satu momen terbaik dalah hidup saya, saya merasa itulah kisah heroik yang bisa saya kenang terus sepanjang hidup saya.

Chapter 5 – Bingung Memilih Penjurusan Kuliah

  • Kembali ke perkuliahan, saya memasuki  semester lima. Saatnya memillih penjurusan. Ketika itu hanya ada penjurusan yang bisa saya ambil yaitu:
    • Audit Keuangan, sebuah penjurusan yang benar-benar tidak saya suka. Pola pikir saya ketika itu, sudah melakukan audit begitu panjang hasilnya cuma memberikan hasil wajar tanpa pengecualian atau tidak wajar. Pekerjaan juga terlalu administratif yang bukan tipe saya. NB: Mohon maaf untuk teman-teman auditor. Pekerjaan anda sungguh hebat hanya tidak sesuai dengan karakter saya saja.
    • Sistem Informasi Akuntansi, yang pekerjaan juga terlihat membosankan cuma membuat flowchart untuk perancangan sistem informasi.
  • Sangat kebetulan, ketika itu masuk 2 peminatan baru. ERP (SAP) dan Database (Oracle). Lalu saya dengan semangat akan mau mengambil database (oracle). Karena ini berarti saya akan belajar bersama anak IT.
  • Sayangnya tidak ada teman main saya yang mengambil peminatan Database. Dan mereka mengambil peminatan ERP (SAP). Dan saya anak kuliah biasa yang gampang ikut pergaulan. Akhirnya saya tedampar ke peminatan ERP (SAP).
  • Peminatan itu membawa saya masuk ke dunia konsultan. Sebuah pekerjaan yang saya sangat suka. Karena ini seperti game bagi saya. Setiap projek seperti stage baru yang harus saya pecahkan. Saya harus berpikir bagaimana bernegoisasi dengan customer yang sulit. Bagaimana melakukan presentasi. Bagaimana berkomunikasi dengan orang yang jauh lebih tinggi dan hebat dari saya.

Chapter 6 – Percaya Tuhan

Ketika saya selesai membuat tarik garis ini saya menjadi terkejut dan tidak percaya sendiri.

Karena ternyata peristiwa yang saya tuliskan kebanyakan adalah peristiwa yang tidak sesuai dengan harapan saya. Anda bisa lihat dalam kisah tarik garis saya:

  • Saya mau jadi pemain bola bukan pemain basket
  • Saya mau masuk IT menjadi programmer dan bukannya komputer akuntansi untuk menjadi seorang konsultan.
  • Dan kalau saya menuliskan kisah pribadi yang sensitif. Maka banyak sekali kejadian didalam hidup saya yang tidak sesuai dengan yang saya inginkan. Tetapi justru membawa hal baik didalam hidup saya saat ini.

Saya dari kecil sudah memiliki agama. Tapi sebelumnya jujur saya tidak percaya Tuhan itu ada. Ketika SD saya pernah menguji apakah Tuhan itu ada atau tidak. Saya berdoa kepada Tuhan, jika engkau ada maka ketika saya buka mata saya ada sebungkus chitato di sebelah saya.

Ternyata tidak ada Chitato di sebelah saya. Maka logika saya mengatakan Tuhan hanyalah tokoh fiksi. Tidak ada Tuhan dalam hidup ini. Tetapi ketika saya melakukan evaluasi kisah tarik garis ini, saya memiliki upgrade pemikiran

Tidak mungkin tidak ada yang mengatur kisah hidup saya. Dari banyak hal – hal yang tidak saya inginkan yang justru malah membawa hal baik didalam hidup saya.

Jika karena kekuatan saya sendiri maka mungkin saat ini kehidupan saya tidak sebaik yang saya peroleh saat ini.

Lalu siapa yang bisa mengatur hal yang terjadi dalam hidup saya saat ini dan mengetahui bahwa kejadian ini akan membawa kebaikan untuk saya di masa depan?

Maka akhirnya saya percaya ada sebuah “power” tidak terlihat yang mengatur dan menuntun kehidupan saya.

Dan sejak itulah saya percaya bahwa Tuhan itu ada. Itulah momen hidup saya mengakui keberadaan Tuhan dalam hidup saya.

Saya tidak tahu apakah anda memiliki kisah yang sama dengan saya atau tidak. Apakah kalian pernah mendapatkan kejadian yang tidak anda inginkan justru membawa kebaikan untuk kehidupan anda di saat ini.

Tapi jika anda membuat kisah tarik garis anda sendiri, saya yakin anda akan menemukan kisah tersebut.

Mungkin anda saat ini menghadapi pergumulan yang berat didalam hidup anda.

Maka saya cuma bisa menyarankan untuk bersukacitalah dalam pengharapan, sabarlah dalam kesesakan dan bertekunlah dalam doa.

Anda tidak pernah tahu bahwa kejadian yang tidak mengenakan inilah yang akan membentuk kehidupan anda menjadi lebih baik di masa depan.

Sampai kapan anda akan alami masalah ini dan kapan anda mendapatkan hal baiknya? Saya juga tidak tahu.

karena sayapun juga masih mengalami pergumulan dan menunggu hal baik untuk masalah-masalah yang masih saya hadapi saat ini.

Tapi saya percaya bahwa skenario yang Tuhan buat selalu lebih baik daripada skenario yang kita buat sendiri.

Sama halnya dengan keisengan saya menulis di stockbit yang membuat saya membuat website yang lagi anda baca saat ini.
